North Whidbey Pool, Park, and Recreation District is a Parks and Recreation Special District located in North Whidbey. As we continue to grow and expand we are looking for an Administrative Assistant to help the Executive Director and Board with our increasing administrative needs in our busy environment.
You'll work directly with the District Executive Director and Board of Commissioner in various administrative and recreational tasks including planning, organizing, and marketing, meetings, and special events. The right person will be a self-starter who RELISHES learning new technologies, programs, and processes to help us market programs, strategies, and our vision.

Under the direction of the District Executive Director and Recreation Manager, this position will oversee the weekly summer camp. This person will be responsible for the daily operations of the camp at all facilities used. The Day Camp Manager is responsible for scheduling daily camp activities and providing customer service to parents, custodians, staff, and campers.

This a temporary position. Hours will range from 20-40 hours per week. Must be available to work June 6th-August 5th.
The grant funding our Day Camp requires staff to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An exemption may be granted for religious or medical purposes, however, accommodations will be subject to approval based on the essential functions required of the position.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Salary range $22.00-$25.00 per hour
Under the direction of the District Executive Director, Recreation Manager, and Day Camp Manager, this position provides direct supervision of summer camp participants ages 5-12. Primary responsibilities include activity planning and preparation, developing supply lists for scheduled activities, conducting activities in arts and crafts, sports, field games, cooking, and special events; assisting Camp Leaders with activity implementation, providing appropriate supervision and discipline of campers, and discussing camper behavior with parents/guardians.
This is a temporary position. Hours will range from 30-40 hours per week. Must be available to work mid-June through August 5th.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Salary range $16.00-$20.00 per hour
Day Camp Leaders work under the direction of the District Executive Director, Recreation Manager, Day Camp Manager, and Assistant Day Camp Manager. Provides direct supervision of summer camp participants between the ages of 5 and 12. Primary responsibilities include activity planning and preparation, developing supply lists for scheduled activities, conducting activities in arts nd crafts, sports, field games, and special events, and assisting the Recreation Program Lead with activity implementation.
This is a temporary position. Hours range from 15-40 hours per week. Must be available to work June 27th - August 5th.

Recreation Aides assists the Recreation Manager or other District staff in providing supervised recreation activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, educational sessions, special events, and field trip experiences for various age groups.
Uses creativity to suggest activities, sports, crafts, and special activities in collaboration with the Recreation Manager.
Operates programs according to District and other appropriate guidelines.
Assists in maintaining related records and reports.
Assist in the distribution of marketing materials to the public.
·Sets up and cleans recreation facilities as required.
·Inventories and inspects equipment and supplies.
Reports safety hazards and/or injuries immediately according to procedures.
Must be 15 years olds.
Salary range as of January 1, 2022
$14.49-$18.00 per hour depending on years of experience and qualifications.
The Client Service Specialist is responsible for addressing the varied needs of our patrons and provides essential support to staff members. In the role of Client Service Specialist, you will be expected to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all District programs, rules, policies, etc.
Duties include: greeting and checking in patrons, processing payments, enrolling patrons in various programs, providing accurate up-to-date information regarding programs - including schedule and fees, report preparation including bank deposits, maintaining numerous activity logs, answering and directing calls on the multi-line phone system, taking detailed messages, selling concession items, light cleaning tasks, other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
$14.49-15.49 per hour depending on years of experience and qualifications
