Challenger Sports Summer Soccer Camps bring international coaches to our community for a week-long soccer camp with half or full-day options! 3-6 year olds will have shorter camp times. Formerly known as International Soccer Camps - same great program, just with a new name. Camps are designed for all age levels and abilities with practices to help players develop at their own pace, learn new skills, and improve overall while having a great time with the international coaching staff!
June 26th-30th
Camp Location: North Whidbey Middle School
Recreation Aide typically works on Saturday mornings and weekday evenings, helping us run recreation programs. You may be a supervisor or referee for youth games.
Interested in becoming a Youth Sports Coach?
We can’t do this without the help of dedicated volunteers. Please help us make a difference in a young person’s life.
Volunteer Application
Becoming a coach involves a background check, including references, and filling out a volunteer application.
Fingerprinting
Fingerprint cards are available at the Front Desk at the John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool. Coaches can pick up the cards anytime we are open. Please see our main page for days and times. Please see the links below for more fingerprint information.
The state of Washington requires us, through HB 1824, to require coaches and parents to receive information about concussions and document you received it. We require coaches to provide a certificate showing they completed concussion training. We realize coaches sometimes coach multiple sports. If you have already taken training within the last calendar year, you can submit that certificate to us for your record. For example, if you underwent training in September of 2022, your training is good until September 2023, and you could submit that certificate to us. If you cannot print a certificate, you may take a picture of it on your computer or screenshot it and email the image to Rec@nwpprd.org.
"I'm a coach because of the kids and the passion I have for the game and the sport itself. There is no better feeling than teaching a child the importance of discipline, hard work, team effort, dedication, determination, and the heart it takes to win not only in sports but in life.
